Discover Dao Palate

At Dao Palate, nestled in the heart of Brooklyn at 329 Flatbush Ave, you'll find an experience that blends traditional flavors with modern techniques. The cozy vibe of this inviting restaurant creates a perfect atmosphere for casual dining or an intimate dinner. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm, minimalist décor that focuses on creating a comfortable, yet stylish setting.

The menu at Dao Palate is a celebration of fresh ingredients, with a focus on creating dishes that excite the palate without overwhelming the senses. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Asian fusion cuisine or new to exploring the flavor combinations, Dao Palate offers something for everyone. The diverse menu features an array of options, ranging from bold appetizers to hearty main dishes, each prepared with a distinct attention to detail.

One standout dish is the crispy duck bao. The duck is cooked to perfection, with a crispy skin that provides a satisfying crunch, paired with a rich, savory sauce. The bao buns are soft and pillowy, balancing out the textures and flavors. For those who enjoy a bit of heat, the Szechuan-style noodles are a must-try. They are loaded with a flavorful, spicy sauce that has just the right amount of kick, complemented by the perfect amount of crunch from fresh vegetables.

What sets Dao Palate apart is their dedication to making each meal an experience. The chefs pay careful attention to the ingredients they source, ensuring everything is fresh and locally sourced when possible. For example, their seasonal specials always reflect the best of what’s available at the time. It’s clear that every dish is crafted with thoughtfulness and precision.

On a recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying the signature seafood hotpot. This dish was loaded with shrimp, mussels, and tender fish, all simmered in a broth that was both comforting and full of depth. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each bite brought something new to the table. It’s these kinds of thoughtful touches that make Dao Palate not just a meal, but an event worth savoring.

Beyond the food, the service at Dao Palate is another reason to return. The waitstaff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, always ready with suggestions if you're not sure what to try. Whether you’re looking for a drink pairing or wondering about the best dish to start with, they’re always happy to guide you.

For dessert, the pandan coconut cake is a true treat. Light and airy, it’s the perfect way to end a meal. It’s not too sweet, making it an ideal choice for those who prefer a more subtle finish to their dining experience.

Dao Palate’s location at 329 Flatbush Ave is convenient, situated in a bustling area of Brooklyn that’s easily accessible. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it’s definitely worth a stop. • Great for herbivores and their friends too. I like the variety of the menu and both of the dishes that I tried there were delicious- the green curry and the eggplant with string bean. If you are looking for some delicious, asian-inspired dishes, come to the Dao Palate for a bite!

  • Amazing vegan spot so close to Barclays stadium and Brooklyn Museum/Prospect Park. The menu is entirely vegan and has delicious classics like the vegan sweet and sour chicken, drunken noodles, and miso soup. The miso soup really hit the spot with this colder weather Place felt super low key and you could easily miss it walking by. Pretty spacious and open dining area. We were the only people there! Would love to come back and try some more selections

  • I was skeptical at first to know what protein was in the pad see ew and I was pleasantly surprised! Usually there isn't enough sauce but it was plenty and tasty! I took the mushrooms out the Miso Mushroom Soup as I don't care for them. The Thai Iced Tea with soy is good, not sweet though. Overall 5 stars and nothing spilled with scooter driver so well packaged, thank you!

  • They have delicious vegan dish! I ordered TomYum noodle soup with meifun and it was delicious. It had plenty of veggies including mushrooms and I loved the taste. It’s a cozy place to have a meal! I recommend if you love veggies!

  • A delicious twist to Pan Asian dishes, this place has it all… a fabulous night out to enjoy a vegan meal couldn’t have been anymore perfect with Dao Palate. No liquor here, but they have everything else to have you walking out of there full and satisfied. They just re-opened after being closed for almost 2 years due to covid for in-door dining… a gem that must be tasted to be appreciated

  • Would be cool to see Dao Palate go full vegan someday (they offer dairy for coffee), but all the food is vegan! Cheap lunch special price for the size and delicious food. Will definitely be returning to try more. Would be cool if they could serve the miso soup in something other than a Styrofoam bowl, and could maybe tone down the saltiness, I always pass on it. Lately I've been getting the dinner size for the higher price because they give much more food, and you can choose just brown rice and salad on the side. They don't usually respect requests over the phone to forego the pastic bag, napkin or utensils unfortunately, would be nice if they asked you if you want them each time. I've tried, the scallion pancake starter (delicious), and for lunch specials: green tea cold noodle (tasty but could have had some more ingredients than a single grape tomato), Mai Fun Noodle w/ fish cake, Red Curry Seitan, Malaysian Curry stew (excellent), and Eggplant & String beans (surprisingly incredible sauce).

  • We came here for the first time today and enjoyed all 3 plates! Definitely want to return to eat all the yummy vegan food!
